Falling film

Product as the falling film is distributed by nozzles, troughs or pans above the PLATECOIL® banks.

Flooded systems

The evaporator section of this ammonia system maintains a liquid phase. The boiling liquid develops excellent internal film coefficients (h1) and higher U values than direct expansion systems. The evaporator uses header-type, self-venting PLATECOIL® or ECONOCOIL® with low pressure drop.

Direct expansion systems

Style 60 or 50 Serpentine PLATECOIL® are used in DX systems for positive refrigerant distribution and highest velocities, for best U values and for proper oil return. Top feed and bottom suction provides good oil circulation. Each panel has its own expansion valve. Individual inlets are preferred.
